If all the players check, then a showdown takes place. During this round, the last player to make a bet is able to reveal his hand. Any of the other players who do not fold can continue to compete for the pot. Usually, this is the last round of betting, but sometimes more than one round is required.
After a player discards his hand, another round of betting is required. Players must try to bet the most they can, and may bluff or bet that they have the best hand. They are able to discard up to three cards, but they are not able to discard all of their cards.
